The Indian Institute of Management, IIM Lucknow, successfully conducted the Common Admission Test 2023 (CAT 2023) on Sunday, November 26, 2023. The exam took place at 375 test centers distributed across 167 cities in India.
CAT 2023 Exam Updates:
- Official notice reveals that out of 3.28 lakh registered eligible candidates for CAT 2023, approximately 2.88 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.
- A noteworthy 88 percent attendance was recorded, reflecting a robust turnout.

The CAT exam lasted for 120 minutes for most candidates and 160 minutes for those with disabilities. Each section had a time limit of 40 minutes (53 minutes and 20 seconds for candidates with disabilities).
There were a total of 66 questions in the exam, with 24 in Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), 20 in Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and 22 in Quantitative Ability (QA).
The provisional answer key will be available on the official website, iimcat.ac.in Candidates can raise objections, and if valid, their feedback will be considered in the final answer key preparation. The results will be announced after this process.
Candidates who meet or exceed the cut-off mark can apply for admission to participating B-schools.
To access the CAT 2023 answer key:
- Visit iimcat.ac.in
- Click on the candidate login tab.
- Enter the CAT registration ID and password.
- The answer key will appear.
- Review and download it.
- Use the candidate response tab to download the CAT response sheet for 2023.
