Municipal Service Commission was first constituted under the Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act 1980, by a notification of the State Government dated 22nd March, 1984. Its predecessor however, was the Calcutta Municipal Service Commission which came into being with effect from January, 1954. This Commission therefore can be called an organisation with about 55 years of existence.
The West Bengal Municipal Service Commission has invited applications for the post of Medical officer .The details of the vacancy is as follows:

Age limit: The upper age limit is 37 years as on 01.01.2015. The upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories.
