The Birla Institute of Technology is based in Mesra. The institute was established in 1955 by philanthropist and industrialist Late B. M. Birla. The institute is accredited to NAAC and NBA. The institute is a deemed University and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
The institute has all the necessary infrastructure like modern classrooms, labs, library, seminar halls, hostel facilities, auditorium, Gymnasium, shopping complex and transport facility. The campus is a fully residential campus.
