If you took JEE Mains this year and are anxious to know if your answers are correct or not, then your wait is over.
Central Board of Secondary Education, the authorities who conduct JEE Mains, will release candidates’ answer sheets, from both offline and online modes, on April 18, 2016. You can check your responses on the JEE website, only till April 22, 2016, after which it will be taken off the site.
JK Yadav, Deputy Secretary, JEE Unit, confirmed the development to PaGaLGuY. He said, “With the answer sheets, the website will also display the official answer key.” There were four sets of question papers for the offline mode and one set each for the online mode that was held over two days. He added, “The answer sheets are being displayed so that students can check their responses in the exam.”
If a student feels that his/her answer is correct, but is shown otherwise in the answer key, then he/she can challenge the authorities by paying a fee of Rs 1,000 per answer. If the student’s response is correct, then the authorities will refund the money. “Candidates should note that the answer key is not being displayed to analyse the results. But it is being released to remove students’ doubts,” Yadav emphasised.
