The Union Public Service Commission will be conducting the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2016 at different venues located at 41 Centers throughout the country on October 23, 2016. Around 5 lakh students have registered for the exam.
Here is a quick checklist for the Combined Defence Services written examination.
- In case your photograph is not printed or available on the e‐Admit Card, kindly carry three photographs (one identical photograph for each session) along with proof of identity such as identity Card etc. and a printout of e‐Admit Card to secure entry in the Examination.
- Read all the instructions printed on your e-Admit Card, Question Papers, and OMR sheet.
- Immediately contact the exam supervisor in case you make an error while filling the necessary details in the OMR sheet. Often in such cases, one is entitled to get another OMR sheet. If your OMR sheet is not replaced, then you can write a letter to UPSC stating the errors made in marking the basic details in the OMR sheet. However, the chances of UPSC digging into the matter is bleak.
- Mobile phones, pagers, bluetooth or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action on you which can include ban from future examinations.
UPSC conducts the CDS examination twice a year for recruitment to the Gazetted posts in the Army, Navy, and Air force. Candidates who clear the written test will be called for a 5-day Services Selection Board interview at various centers.
