Banking, Financial Services and Insurance was the main recruiter taking 31 pc of the batch. It was represented by Citibank, Irevna, UBS India, DE Shaw, SBI Bank, SBI Caps, HSBC Bank, HSBC CIBM, JP Morgan Services, Kotak Bank, Morgan Stanley Advantage Services, STCI, Yes Bank and Tata Capital.

FMCG sector came second, taking along 21 pc of the batch in companies like Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, Britannia, Godrej Industries, Johnson & Johnson Medical, Agro Tech Foods, GlaxoSmithKline, Heinz, Reckitt Benckiser, SAB Miller, Titan, L’Oreal and AB Apparel.

IT/ITES domain attracted 19 pc of the students. Recruiting companies include IBM, Oracle, EDS, Cognizant Technology Solutions, HP, Wipro, Infosys Technologies, Genpact, Infosys BPO, Satyam Computer Systems, Sybase, and ITC Infotech.

14 pc of students preferred Consulting, offers made by Ernst & Young, Protiviti, CGN Business Consulting, Hewitt Associates, Capgemini Consulting, Avalon Consulting, Mercer, Mu Sigma Business Services.

Manufacturing and Telecom each had 4 pc share of the batch. Recruiting companies in both sectors include Maersk, GE Corporate, RPG, M & M, Essar, DCM Shriram Limited, Idea, and Vodafone.
