The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is an institution that was established by the Government of India and worked as an autonomous body.
It is a public business school providing educational degrees like Masters in Business Administration in International Business (MBA-IB).
By developing the human resources of our country, IIFT aims to make foreign trade management, a genuine and important profession.
The IIFT entrance examination is annually conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission into the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
The applications for IIFT 2020 exam is already completed. However, a correction window is opened every year, providing candidates with an opportunity to make any important corrections before the release of the final admit card.
According to the National Testing Agency, the correction window for IIFT 2020 application form was to be opened on 1st November 2019.
The date for opening of the correction window was then shifted to 5th November 2019 with the last date being 7th November 2019. However, there has been a change once again in the date with regard to the correction window facility.
A new change has been introduced again by the NTA as the students of Jammu and Kashmir are being given the opportunity to register themselves for IIFT 2020 MBA And MBA-IB courses.
NTA is also providing candidates of Jammu and Kashmir to apply for other competitive exams conducted by it such as –
- JEE Main 2020
- CSIR NET 2019
- UGC NET 2019
The candidates from Jammu and Kashmir have been given a time period between 4th November 2019 to 8th November 2019 to apply for the above-stated examinations.
Keeping this in mind, a new date has been finalized for the opening of the correction window for IIFT 2020. As per the new finalizations, the correction window will be open from 9th November 2019.
It is open for a span of two days, and the date for making any changes in the application form is 11th November 2019. After this, the candidates will not be provided any further time to correct mistakes in their application.
It must further be noted that candidates might have to pay some extra charges for making corrections in the application form.
These payments will only be accepted through online payment methods including debits cards, credit cards, net banking, UPI payments, PAYTM wallet etc.
Candidates need to be aware that the process of making corrections will be free of cost. Charges will only be incurred in selective changes like a change in the category.
Also, once a category has been changed to another one with lower cost of application, the excess amount will not be refunded under any circumstances.
The delay has also led to speculation about the fact that the date of release of the admit card will also be affected.
This is because the last date for the correction window clashes with the original date of admit card release (11th November 2019). Thus, it can be considered that there is likely to be a change in the admit card dates too.
The IIFT 2020 entrance exam will be conducted on December 1st, 2019 and the date is not likely to change.
