About The Speaker:
Mr. Vinay Hampiholi currently works as Director – Solution Engineering for Oracle Cloud Applications at Oracle India. In his current role, Vinay Sir leads the group of Cloud architects to strategize, develop and deploy ERP centric Digital Transformation initiatives for Large Indian Business Conglomerates. He is a technology and engineering professional with more than 25 years of experience in Solution, Engineering, Project Management, Consulting and Sales. He has worked across all leading enterprise solutions company including, Oracle India, SAP India, Microsoft Corporation, Siemens Information Systems and Ramco, evangelizing and implementing Enterprise Solutions across the globe.
In his current role at Oracle, he works on emerging technologies like AI, ML, Blockchain & IOT etc and its applicability in the ERP space. He has been the architect of digital solution for large Enterprises like Hindalco Industries, Thermax, Aditya Birla Retail, Kirloskar group, Zensar, Cummins India Bajaj Group and other public Sector enterprise like Nuclear Power Corporation, MP electricity Board, MSRTC. Etc.
He has successfully managed large scale ERP projects in ERP like Bharath Petroleum Corp, Dr. Reddy’s Lab, as a program manager and has worked on Overseas Projects like Radicare and Faber Mediserv. His role in these projects was not only limited to implementation phase, but he was able to demonstrate the value of ERP deployment post the implementation process. He is a regular speaker at the Supply Chain and ERP events across India.
About Session:
The session was arranged for PGDM – Operations & SCM students as a part of Enterprise Application. The session was conducted by Mr. Vinay Hampiholi. In this session Sir mainly emphasized on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation in an organization. He discussed about ERP followed by framework of ERP. He also discussed about different modules in ERP. He further explained about the integration of standalone applications into ERP. He also highlighted the risk pertaining to ERP by discussing some failure stories. He also explained different risk mitigation strategies pertaining to ERP. He further added that how Cloud ERP is a boon to the organizations implementing it. He explained about the growing role of analytics and machine learning in ERP sector. He also gave insights about the various opportunities for students of PGDM in ERP sector.
Overall, the session was very fruitful for the students of operations & supply chain management as we gained a lot of insights. We, the students of batch Operations & Supply chain would like to thank the concerned department for organizing such an insightful session.
