Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai released its final results for the batch of 2013-15 around 4 PM today post the group discussion and interview rounds.

The candidates are required to feed their Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) ID and the date of birth in order to obtain their scorecard. The results can be viewed here. The second merit list will be released on March 16, 2013.

Since the institute has a composite merit list which looks into the score and preference, NMIMS does not have the concept of a single topper, Varsha Parab, in-charge registrar of NMIMS said.

Talking about the replacement of the Group Discussion with the Case Discussion process this year, the registrar said, "The Case Discussion process helped us understand the thought process of the candidates in a better manner. In addition, there was no confusion, which is a major concern during Group Discussions."

Since the institue has increased the number of seats to 480 this year, it had given a higher number of interview calls. The b-school called candidates in a 1:4 ratio per seat for the interview process. However, it has given final offers to candidates approximately one and a half times the total number of seats, an official from NMIMS told PaGaLGuY.

Not many students request admission cancellation for the full time MBA program, Varsha said. However, the fees return policy for the institute is quite simple. The admission closure date has been decided for June 12, 2013. Those aspirants who cancel their admissions before the closure date will get a full refund except for Rs 1000, as per All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) rules.

However, the new session will start on June 13, 2013. The institute will deduct the fees for one month from the students who request for cancellation on either June 12 or June 13. For the students who request for their admission to be cancelled from June 14, 20123, will not get any refund of their submitted fees, Varsha concluded.
