Post Graduate Certificate in Securities Markets
ICICI Bank has partnered with National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) to launch Post Graduate Certificate in Securities Markets (PGCSM). The programme aims to create professionals such as Treasury dealers, Fund Managers, Analysts, Institutional Sales Professionals, and Investment Advisors in the securities markets. This partnership is part of ICICI Group's strategy to capacitise for growth. The duration of the programme is for one year. The programme curriculum is aligned with the needs of the industry. The unique design of the programme focuses on providing a high degree of industry exposure, by academic and functional experts, from the BFSI sector. The Programme has the much-desired blend, wherein students will undergo the industry-linked internship at ICICI Group for a period of six-months during the one- year course duration. PGCSM programme in Securities Markets will be conducted at NISM campus at Navi Mumbai. The Programme is designed with the view to providing the students with the optimum blend of theory and practice. The course structure is as follows: 1. Term 1 & 3 (6 months) - Classroom training (at NISM). 2. Term 2 & 4 (6 months) - Internship at ICICI Group.

Placement at ICICI Bank On successful completion of the course students will be absorbed at ICICI Bank as a Manager Band I (or in group companies at the equivalent grade). Higher grade can be offered based on the quality of prior work experience. The starting remuneration on Cost to Company basis for students will be in the range of 12.5 lacs and above . On successful completion of the PGCSM Programme, you will be required to work for ICICI Bank for a minimum period of 3 years. If for any reason you choose to leave the services of ICICI Bank within 3 years of joining, you will be required to reimburse

10 lacs, towards cost of education and stipends paid and the opportunity lost for the organization. Please note that if you leave the service of ICICI Bank before repayment of the Loan, you will have to pay interest as applicable and described above (in the course fees section). For the purpose of grant of subsidized loan, academic certificates of such students will be retained by ICICI Bank for the period of loan, as a security.

dump PGPSM ??
but these guys will be studying the course with us ........i dont think NISM is going to conduct special batches for same course.
so now ICICI will conduct its own exam GD/PI/INtV. for batch starting from june 2011 after that NISM has already complted its all india selection ...

Guess there is only one way. Take the ICICI exam and if get selected (there are only 20 SEATS) then dump PGPSM and join ICICI course. However you will loose security/fee deposit for PGPSM. But security comes at a price.

The admission test will hopefully be very easy, followed by psychometric analysis and GDPI.
Previous profile will matter lot.

Well my guess is that it should be more or so on the same guidelines at the one for NIIT prog was but u never know, but in any case it will be aptitude with no specific advantage to anyone.M too waiting for anyone for specific deatils abt that NIIT prog aptitude tests...anyone with details , kind...

Dear Vivek,
Dun worry, they won't scrap the program. PPL with such deep pockets do not think abt few crores (It's a change for them) instead they think abt more their name :P.
I guess thats good for us Puys, if they are not advertising much. Few candidates less competition.

Well thats the only genuine reason i can think of.Also many people do not know about this programme since its only there on there website..haven't seen any ad or so elsewhere...just keeping my fingers crossed that they do not scrap the whole idea and programme due to this.
