Even i m waiting. I seriously wanna know their shortlisting criteria.As some ppl with below 60% in 10, 12 and grads hav also been shortlisted..........and i hav 70 + in all three, hav nt received any intimation frm them

even i also have 85+ in 10th and 12th and 60+ in b.tech bt nt shortlisted yet. I dont the shortlisting criterea but Lets hope they will call everyone.

i have a confusion "sbi associates" is asking 55% be it pass or hons , i have 61.5 in hons and 56 % in pass, in my university calcutta univeristy only the hons marks is taken for ranking , the pass marks is only for passing , so will i put the average of both the marks for SBI associates? in no other bank before i have done that. does anyone here think that the criteria can be like this for other banks too then i will be completely ruined

Reasoning : 75 Ques
QA : 50 Ques
Eng :50 Ques
Comp : 50 Ques(basically database,networking and internet,protocols, webpages etc)
GK : 75 Ques (current affairs & static gk both)
Time duration : 3 hrs for objective paper

Descriptive : 45 min or 60 min

Eng & descriptive ....are qualifying.

This is the previous trend.......of last 3-4 yrs of allahabad bank PO.....

And i feel that If one want to become PO so just go inside of anyone PSB as in near future most of banks are going to merge even the drive for talks has been started.... there are some talks of merging of Bank of India,Corporation bank & canara bank .... not exactly remember....

No dude, you cant skip any section completely. You have to score some minimum marks in each section to qualify.

My attempts for Indian Bank
QA - 49/50 (shud get 80-90% right)
VA - 50/50 (75% accuracy)
GK - 35/50 (several wild guesses)
Reasoning - 59/75 (80% accuracy)

Hope to clear it. have been able to give a PO exam after a long time...........

i know my GK will ruin me . in these 7 days to go for bank of india can i improve my GK from 17 attempts to 30 correct ones. i think bank of india has mentioned minimum 50 % marks needed in all sections

The deciding factor will be GK : 75 Ques (current affairs & static gk both)...
Allahabad bank has previous history of making it the most challenging one...I suggest to evey Puy that for this don't rely on PD only...that will fetch u half of the questions...also brush up yur static GK

This is a very general query to all veterans like gladiatorghosh,lopamudra,aashishsuneja,adi14 and all puys who are pouring their valuable ideas and sharing knowledge which are really very informative for we guys.I've a big problem here....I'm going to give the bank of india po exam on 24th and really don't have any idea about the GK questions asked in them...I appeared for the NABARD exam some 1 year back and was really not able to touch GK questions....this would be my 2nd attempt for any bank job and I really want to crack this......didn't want to screw my entire life working in stupid S/W industry.....so guys if any one of you could help me with the GK part, would be highly appreciated.....please share some sites from where i could read GK which are specially for Bank PO's...HELP NEEDED!!!!!

most of the ppl must be wondering how to score in GK section....how to go bt it....
The bottomline is I strictly follow PD and nothin else...
I make notes of all the events and happenings of a particular month given in that edition....
then for practice I do the questions given at th back...and stick to them...
nothin else apart frm that is required....bt while u are doing month by month PD plz make sure that u dont forget the events/issues of the past...like what happened after ths and then what followed...if u keep that in mind...20-25 questions are sure shot....only sports and countries will fetch u 10-15 questions....ATB

Well I had not prepared well,I mean I had not even touched GK since weeks now...Isliye GK was tough for me...
I attempted 140+... Accuracy..I assume it would be above 80%
Wrote descriptive pretty well..Full mazaa aaya..Likhne mein...
I would be surprised if I get through...Not much expectations...:nono:

NO Dude its not fixed...i havent given it keeping in mind the number of seats for general candidates...but hats off to corp bank, completed the total process in less than 2 months from written to final results...bang on...& there are banks like andhra which takes 2 years to complete the whole process..such a shame on such banks...

How long does Allahabad Bank PO take, if it starts at 10 AM?

If Allahabad bank starts at 10 then at least it will last upto 12:15 or 12:30.
After that they will take descriptive test of 1 hour. So, altogether the test will end at around 01:15 or 01:30.

You must have filled allahabad bank's form by now..
Just priortise.. what u need at this moment.. A job or Higher education..
Btw 850 odd vacancues in allahabad bank , just give that a consideration 2..
