I really believe GDP is a farce and would love to argue on any length over this topic ... rather for me true develpment indicators are whether state has good electricity,good roads,water in taps i.e. whether it suffices basic survival amenities take for e.g. delhi [ a metropolitan] has all the plush offices but no water has metro facilities but don't we see electricity cuts in delhi the economic indicator works when economy is for everyone not when economy is term to be taught by professors and discussed by eminent people @naga25french Modi is completely secular because but yes riots are a taint mark on him ... one shuld also look upon his recent victory where 60% of seats in so called minority areas were won by BJP . I can buy the fact one may disagree with him on secular front but you should also see minority have voted him now and accepted him keeping in mind his past .

As elections come closer all parties are busy playing their cat and mouse games
allies breaking bonds , some potshots at each other wiich is pretty much evident as elections are near
meanwhile nitish's anger against modi is understandable as he is scared of his votebank but why is shivsena opposed to modi -- i guess they only want to show their weight in nda and will surely agree to modi as PM
however amidst all this confusion road is getting tough for modi as yashwant sinha has hinted at comeback of advani

if advani comes back for what can be his last innings as pm candidate bjp will lose their wave which is created due to pro modi sentiments owing his development

early predictions show [ based upon few users ] nda to get 170-180 seats and congress gettting 120-130 seats

I personally feel NDA has very little chance, many states this time are anti-NDA anti-UPA from the very start, although UPA has got master negotiators in their ranks so after elections the game can change drastically
It is very difficult to predict whether this time it will be a vote for a change or vote to retain, as my experience with people in tribal/ rural areas ( from where most of the votes come ) is very different, they trust someone else, vote for someone else
To give you an example, I was there in a tribal village in MP, to study election pattern, and to understand why a single MP from a right wing party keeps on winning irrespective of his doing nothing, and I found out that the mindset of entire constituency was changed by a single lady and she made them believe that they can be empowered and claim a better living through exercising their democratic right in a fair way for which she was jailed multiple times and what not happened with her, but everytime election comes just 2-3 days prior to election she would be arrested in false charges and the people were made to believe that someone who cant protect herself how can she protect them....Every possible thing actually happened 48 hrs before the election took place
What I am trying to say over here is, it is very difficult to expect a vote for change from the rural India if something outrageous doesn't happen

And one more thing,I want to mention here,if BJP declares NaMo as PM candidate,it is highly impossible to get support for JD(U),BJD,SP and TMC because muslim votes contribute large part of vote bank of these parties.So I don't see any pre-election PM candidate declaration by BJP.

Maano yaa na maano,but Congress knows an art of winning election better than BJP.And I think,as MNREGA was game changer in 2009 election,Direct cash transfer might play the same role next year for Congress.

Question for all Modi supporters,if had he been done something close to his hyped development,he should have won more seats in 2012 than in 2007.

7. NDTV’s Nidhi Razdan (high-profile anchor of Left Right Centre) is the current girlfriend of J&K; CM Omar Abdullah (after Omar recently divorced his wife of several years and mother of his two children, Payal). Nidhi Razdan is also famous for her legendary pro-Congress and anti-BJP bias.

8. CNN-IBN : Rajdeep Sardesai’s wife and co-promoter of CNN-IBN, Sagarika Ghose, who anchors Face the Nation and is famous journalist of CNN-IBN (well, her hubby is the owner-editor-in-chief after all) are famous Congress stooges.

9. Sagarika’s father Bhaskar Ghose was a famous sarkari babu and was made the chief of Prasar Bharati (Doordarshan) during Indira and Rajiv regimes. Bhaskar Ghose was well-known for personal loyalty to the Nehru dynasty, and now his daughter and son-in-law are rewarded with their own channel to do Congress propaganda.

Thapar, is brother-in-law of Nayantara Sehgal, the daughter of Vijaylakshmi Pandit and niece of Jawaharlal Nehru. Gen. Thapar’s son is pro-Congress journalist Karan Thapar. Gen. Thapar’s sister is Romila Thapar, a famous “top” typical JNU Nehruvian communist ideologue historian, who gets to write our textbooks and pollute them with pro-Congress Marxist propaganda.

14. Or even what about little known News24 Hindi media channel? Owned by ex-journalist and editor Rajiv Shukla, famous Congress MP in Rajya Sabha, Union minister, industrialist, BCCI vice president and IPL chairman.

15. Or even what about little known Lokmat (and IBN Lokmat) that is Marathi newspaper (and channel) in Maharashtra? Owner and editors-in-chief are the brothers Vijay Darda (Congress MP) and Rajendra Darda (Congress MLA in Maharashtra, and minister in state govt).

16. Or even the other bigger and smaller media houses, such as The Times of India and Indian Express, where the Nehru dynasty has managed to infiltrate its loyalists such as Dileep Padgaonkar and Shekhar Gupta, who are essentially paid stooges of the Congress party.

The Congress (in fact just the one single family — the Nehru dynasty) has been in power for 56 of the last 65 years of independence. This matters a LOT. Personal relationships have been built, blackmail-worthy secrets have been spied, monumental wealth has been accumulated … all by the one single Nehru dynasty (and its family-business-cum-political-party aka Congress) that helps it maintain its tight irongrip over not just the entire Indian mainstream media, but also deep into our bureaucracy, our governmental institutions, and even our journalism and mass media colleges and grad schools.

Almost all pro-BJP (or even centre-right ideologues) journalists have been slowly thrown out of their jobs due to pressure from the Congress and the Nehru family.

Even the great venerable Ramnath Goenka, frustrated and broken by repeated I-T raids and ED investigations ultimately had to fire Arun Shourie twice from the Indian Express, which was once the best Indian newspaper in the 1970s and 80s. That was the team — Goenka the owner, Shourie the editor, and S. Gurumurthy the fearless journalist, that brought political heavyweights like Indira Gandhi down on her knees and even took on corporate honchos like Dhirubhai Ambani. (Ramnath Goenka inspired the Mithun Chakraborty character and S. Gurumurthy inspired the R. Madhavan character in the Ambani biopic “Guru”.)

But very few centre-right ideologues are left in India’s media space today, that too in minor publications like The Pioneer. Almost all the mainstream media houses have been thoroughly infiltrated and coerced into towing the Congress’ line, sometimes just through ideology and relationships, and not even money power.
