I hate those comedy wala serials which are running now...i hate them more than those saas bahu...emotional atyachaar serials....those comedy serials have no comedy...they just do double meaning comedy....do some real comedy yaar....and also i hate those serials which are mainly based on some movie theme and then they stretch that serial so long...u forgot why u watching this serial......one serial which i hated at first then started liking that serial because of that actress.."Geet".....:sneaky::sneaky:

I don't like dining in the dining table.I like it in the living room,with the TV in front of me.I switch on the TV,take my seat,the remote and start watching CNN-IBN/NDTV/VH1.In comes my mom with the thaali.As soon as she keeps it down,the power(read remote) shifts hands.And then I become one of those lucky guys who gets to see soaps during lunch/dinner.And get to see atleast 3 soaps in a duration of 20 minutes So,after years of such torment,here are the nominees-

1)YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI- Super mind-numbing soap.Every character is a legend when you measure the "annoyance" factor.And that MUNNA is an ideal punching bag And the female lead's mother is another crap.She is like- "I will cry no matter what!!!"

2)UTTARAN- features two of the most irritating female leads.One has the voice of a punctured tyre and other is an egg.

3)Zindagi Ki Haqeeqat Se Aamna Saamna- Fake to the core.The title couldn't have been been more misleading


Apart from the above three,there are many many more like SPLITSVILLA( soft porn),ROADIES(nothing but abuses) etc etc.The Indian TV is in such a sorry state that watching Govinda sell SANDHI SUDHA at odd hours is much more fun

May sound a bit weird but I was very interested in politics when I was a kid. When I was in 4th or 5th class I used to know about all the MPs and MLAs ,all the election constituencies and which leader belongs to which party. I used to follow all the political shows and exit polls etc at that age. But slowly slowly lost interest in it.

Well when i was a kid.
I LOVEd Cartoon network.
I did not like eating sabziii roti back then,but switch on cartoon network and i wouldn't throw rotis out from the window to my dog anymore

I adored THREE STOOGES and SMALL WONDER like anything.
I remember they used to be like the transition effect when they changed from Cartoon Network to TNT.

I don't know what stats made them believe that after 5:30 ,kids liked watching strange plots enacted in black and white.

I do :nono::nono::nono::nono: not like the Japanese cartoons on air these days.
I mean shinchan and all is like South park for the ill humored.

And the screech like dub voices they put in that,OMG, Its as if ,they did some research on high frequency ,you know,similar to the principal used on why the railway announcements are recorded in the voice of the fairer kind :).
Result : No matter how far the KID or the doting parent is from the TV,the voice reaches directly into the head without toll taxing the ears.

I also like how they show sony tv in between CID , and SET MAX in between regular screenings of BAGHBAAN . #ImpressiveItIs


Oh and the show 'FIR' on sab TV is fun..
The only show i liked on Zee TV was 'TIME BOMB' i guess.

Other than that TV for me has been STAR WORLD,
If i haven't already torrent downloaded the seasons.

I was looking forward to Comedy Central..but i think they misfired by at least 50 years.
They still think that Indians have outdated humor standards,
#AuntyPlease,that was only Bollywood dancing'.

I had one such stupendous experience.......:biggrin:

Last year went to Germany with my mom(as a depenent)... it was an Emirates airline from kolkata-dubai-frankfurt route. What happened is that once we landed in dubai aerospace engineers found a glitch in the plane and they said that the plane will be grounded for 24 hrs. This irked a lot of passengers and emirates decided to take us on a free tour of dubai.

Visited the dubai aquarium and underwater zoo, saw the jumeira beach from afar, dolphin bay and last but not the least burj khalifa:shock:..... went to the top floor and had a peek into at.mosphere(a restuarent)....dared not enter.... and boy it was an experience

p.s.....visited outsie india only once and will say i was king size lucky to be part of such an experience

By far C.I.D wins the race.I still wonder how people could bear that serial for 15 long years and I feel that it would end only if our very own A.C.P Pradyuman takes leave either from the serial or this world whichever happens earlier:biggrin: is good for tortured souls like us.
Most of the times methods and gadgets used by them makes me feel that is this the same planet which we share with them or are we aliens.Please SONY stop this torture:grin:

I hate all those nonsense of saas-bahu or family drama serials,reality shows,even the news channels show crap like what colour/style/kind of cloth a celebrity was wearing;dhoni ki shadi,abhishek bachaan ab ghodi par baith gaye hain,rakhi ka swamvar,is serial main ab ye hoga etc., astro/vastu baba,CID.


I had to bear some moments all these at lunch/dinner time.


I now watch only football and tennis on TV if someone else is not watching...else live streaming Zindabad.:cheerio:

Hmm.. Well its certainly for me as I don't watch TV. Yes, that correct! I don't watch TV AT ALL!
Reason behind it is, very much obvious.
When I was a kid, I used to watch TV a lot. I mean, I was taken into the mystique world of Alif Laila, or the pre independence era of Yug. Even my Sundays used to start with Rangoli and then Mahabharat.

Saturday afternoons, I'd sit with my head in my Dadiji's lap and watch Vikram Betaal on Metro (I think it was Metro, I am not sure. Its been a long time)

Daily after 6:30 pm everyday, I'd rush back home from cricket field, just to watch DISNEY HOUR along with a young Vishal Malhotra! Man, what amazing days they were!

Cartoon Network was aired till 5:30 pm those days, and sometimes my day ended with Top Cat blowing the Cartoon Network up with TNT and then TNT was aired there.

During the Summer Vacations, every afternoon, DD National used to air a program called "Chhutti Chhutti" and I was a BIG FAN OF THAT program!

I have many memories of mine saved with those shows, and will do anything to watch them again. But alas, these shows are not aired in India any more. Plus the word content has gone down the drain for most of the Channels - be it News, Reality, Action, Movie, Youth. Even the documentaries aired on Nat Geo are so dramatized these days, that dekhne ka mann hi nahi karta yaar

So I am waiting for a revolution to happen in the Media Industry, lets just put it that way. Till then, I HATE TV itself!

serials i hate...well i have quite a long list of that....which is quite comprehensive....i will name them in sequence of the amount of hatred

-mrs.kaushik ki 5 bahauye(zee tv)-i hate this serial a lot but to my bad luck it air on that time when i have my dinner....and my mother like to see it...


-those who live in delhi will know our very own AAJTAK have dedicated a whole channel to dilli
that is "Delhi aajtak" on that there is 1 serial which i hate...
that is "Tezz Taare" an pathetic astrology serial the pandit in that always keeps on similing and keep on suggesting stupid things to make your day better...

-Roadies and splitsvilla.....earlier i use to like them but now they have started showing such a stupid things...esp in roadies because i still watch that...i wanna say to Raghu "ab bas karo yaar 10 season ho gaye h"

-matrimony center on T.V....the part i hate most in that is "the way different T.V actors come and acts as an relative of the actor"

-Cricket analysts...yeh toh legendary hote h...barring a few....other are

-counselor-now a days few new shows have started which solve domestic problems....well no words for them because i don't have courage to watch them even for 10mins

-now last but not least

Neither do they have true story or incdents related to real life... everything is hypothetical.... Be it someone's swayamvar or roadies or splitsvilla n etc... N then people use words which is sickening....

There are exceptions as banu2312 said, i loved Chandragupta Maurya which was aired on NDTV Imagine but now due to NDTV pulling out from Imagine networks even the good show suffered .

actually due to these soap serials some orthodox traditional way of thinking is still persisting unfortunately in modern society thus this is also creating hurdle in the progress of the nations... serials like FRIENDS Big bang theory is sensible and entertaining though i get to improve my vocab through this...

I Hate Those Baseless Arguments and Differences Between Saas Bahu, That Too Without Any Specific Reason..

And the way Raghu and Ram go about the importance of being a roadie, I just feel like punching those baldies and shutting them up :banghead:

yayy time for some bitching
though some people might disagree with me, yet i find serials like CID and crime patrol to be very annoying and especially CID which i find very repetitive with the same kind of detective logic being applied in all cases :sneaky:
also, a few of those typical ekta kapoor serials seem irritating when they become dramatised to show unrealistic things ::

Yaar to choose just one moment is next to impossible.I am going to list the moments i always pine for

*16th october,2006 ...A call around midnight propelled me to a dizzying ecstasy.Easily the happiest moment of my life.

*A trip i made to gokarna in 2008.Woh 3 din were heavenly.

*My days in kota.

*The cricket matches in childhood.

There are a lot of mistakes i would like to correct as well,but that would be a huge list and i am sure i don't even remember some of them now.Mere Paapon ka ghada bahut bada hai

Anyways I am not sure if i would correct them i were to be in the same situation all over again.

Also,as my good friend James Hetfield says

To Re-live a moment again, accordingly for me it signifies combination of pleasurable and auspicious state of joy, phase where all zodiac stars favor your whims,u wanna relate to it again and again,u want it to be slow so that one can enjoy every bit of its molecule pondering around .

1. i was lucky even for few days to have MS Dhoni as coach of our team that was in yesteryears just before he joined Indian Cricket Team would like to experience that once again
   
2. i would have got good rank in IIT if i managed to clear cutoff in chemistry physics and maths being my strengths so would like to experience that moment to prepare for chemistry once again

i was going through my posts on the Delhi meets thread and found this.

an awesome meet to end up the season.

victory trophy has been installed in Delhi, forever

enjoyed to the core and met good pals TJ, ravi, shruti, neha, isha, saurabh, shrey, deepak, IIM-A, rishabh, hobbit, adi

had a good time and photo session at KFC and then we decided to have a change from our usual meet at HQ, to nirula's
nice change indeed

watta feel-good koschen a few of such incidents for me would be-
1) when i was in standard VIII, i had scored full marks in 3 subjects viz maths, bio and physics and even though it has been years since then, it is one moment that i'll always cherish
2) when IMT results came out last year
3) when i went to singapore recently i had the time of my life

Indeed i agree on this and everyone should be the only reason is if you like what you do, then happiness will be all over....

Well the happiest day of my life was when my parents gifted me a bike just after 12th results....

It was a truly awesome machine and i was mad about it...I used to clean that bike day and night to make it look hot....

No doubt that it is my 1st love and will always be....

Well for me every day is special.... yaar agar life me dukh na ho toh sukh ke value depreciate hoti hai...

Have many such special moments in my life over the years...one special one is my 10th std exams...

I was always average in my scores upto the 9th std... never put in much effort and never got anything beyond 65% but then in the SSC exams had some pressure to score well. Was always compared to my elder brother who was an ideal student himself, never missed the 4th rank in his class.Uska record toh todna hi tha.... Studied hard and much to the amazement of my entire family scored 80% missed my brothers score by 4 marks....when dad told me my result there were tears in my eyes.... still dont remember if they were for the ground i had made up or the target i had missed, or the zulu dance that my brother did in front of me after realizing i had missed his score by 4 marks but still felt good.In fact my gandpa cried on hearing the result...so did I. Most of my family including my mom, dad, uncles aunts...were pretty shocked.....pata nahi kitni baar unhone confirm kiya hoga ki mera hi result hai.... Its been since that i have always scored better than him in every exam.



That one result changed my entire life....otherwise would have been just another guy wondering about what to do with my life...

I don't completely agree with Mr. Barrie. Is the reason behind the happiness more important than the happiness itself? Life has become that ways these days. All these time happiness was right besides us smiling, while we were too busy looking for the RIGHT INGREDIENTS to make us happy.

Anyways getting back to the reply.
Every morning I get up, I have this feeling of frustration, "WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE? IS THIS HOW I WANTED MY LIFE TO TURN OUT?" The more I thought about it, the more I felt getting myself out of this situation. But then, there I was!!! Doing just the same thing which this above person has quoted!

I was trying to get USED TO. I was trying hard to like what I was doing, and justifying my pangs of frustration daily by consoling myself that I have chosen myself to be this way and hence I should be happy.

But it doesn't work that ways. Not for me, at least.... Hence, I don't take rational decisions any more... I like to follow my heart!

And I am happy, and tension-free! :)

P.S - It also means, I might leave my job soon, and follow my passion. The process has started already, and by the end of this year, I will see myself as I used to dream myself always. :biggrin:

1)When you did something you did not like initially but then you started enjoying it.

-->Getting up early mornin, going to gym and then jogging back home again . Seemed so cumbersome initially but now almost habitual routine.
But sometimes or manytimes lol during winter/rainy days the warmth of blanket indeed cannot be overcomed and u live with the pull of gravity till 9 am in the morning.

Three happiest days of life in chronological order are :
a)when I scored 99 marks out of 100 in mathematics(XIIth) in CBSE board Exam.I used to be very bad in mathematics before that....used to mug questions and answers before exams but my mathematics teacher changed by view towards it and I scored well. My mother was so happy when results came
b)When I got my first job...I remember when I told my father about my selection over phone and he was so happy although joining was late by 4 months because of recession
c)Jab mein mamu jaan ban gaya tha....:) can't forget the moment when I first saw my "bhanja" and took him in my arms ...chalo ghar mein koi to mujh se chota aaya ... certainly was one of the happiest days of my life :)

aage dekhte hain life kya kya moments dikhati hain but one thing which I have realised from past one year is never have too many expectations from life....if we start enjoying every day and moment then the purpose of life would be served...:)

I believe it cuts both ways.You should do some thing that you like every day to keep you sane and also keep pushing the envelope and get out of your comfort zone.


When I did something I did not like initially but then I started enjoying it:

I started reading newspapers when I was in college.I never went beyond the cartoons page or Bombay Times before that.Now,I would like to believe I can hold my own(for 5 seconds at least )on any raging topic of the day.

1) 14 July 2005 : One month from now on and it will be seven years, and many more to come. 7 years went past like a breeze!

2) 20 October 2011 : When we bought a new member to our family-Damru, my pug. Seriously, everyone must own a pet once in a lifetime, else he/she missed something really extraordinary!

3) 30 December 2004: When I won CBSE National Tennis tournament third time in a row. Next day, newspaper mein badi wali photuan bhi aayi thi. Wanted to upload the cutting but guess it's against the PG rules. Lubly days!

Who says only gals can rem'ber the dates? Or do I have certain female harmones within? :P
