If you played in any other inter-state tournament, again misleading to say that that's Ranji-level because it isn't. It's an inter-state level tournament - Yes. Ranji - No. There is no gray area over here.

So if Ranchi was still a part of Bihar in 1998, and like you said, you have played RANJI trophy, that would mean that you have actually played for the Bihar Ranji Team? Am I correct? Cos frankly, I am ready to believe that.

Also, MSD was your team mate? Did you bowl at him? I am sure you did. How was it?

M.S Dhoni sir played ranji trophy in 1999-2000 iwas in the team and he also played previous matches actually the match was to be scheduled by 1998 but due to some political clout it was postponed to 1999.well he was well known batsmen also he played U-19 squad representing Bihar from Ranchi and he used to be excellent guide apart from being senior in terms of matches played and his experience he used to teach us how to play.well during practice nets he used to bat and there were 5 bowlers so each one of us got the opportunity to bowl.well he maintained his calm concentrated on ball and gave his best shot.infact in my one of the overs to him was 3 6's,1-4,1-2 or 3 runs and last ball caught n bowled.experience was good enough under his guidance learnt some good tricks and techniques.
otherwise to stump out middle wicket was real challenge for any bowler when batsman like Dhoni sir is there.

many of the tournaments have been played on even ranji trophy level and before 2000 ranchi was in bihar there were teams divided district wise even within the state now teams from patna,ranchi used to participate and that time in UP(uttar pradesh when state wasnt divided into three parts) Lucknow, Allahabad teams etc used to take part.even after 2000 jharkhand team is just a general name but actually the team was from Ranchi so it is still known as Ranchi cricket team.
similarly for other states also district wise there were teams and matches used to be conducted the best team represented the particular zone eastern zone western zone northern zone etc..
it may be possible that everything is not uploaded in wiki and google,several districts which came up in divided states must have not been uploaded.

3. Tata group is planning to open hydel project at Haryana though official reports is yet to come the company is trying to fulfill legal formalities with Govt of Haryana after its approval.
   
4. beautification of Jubilee Park now no need to go to Bangalore, Jamshedpur itself being Manhattan of India
   
5. sakchi place has been modified with new malls in which reliance fresh,wal mart,Las Vegas etc outlets will be opened soon.

Such estimates can be made only in the multiples of 5 ,if ever they have to be made.Nobody predicts how fast Croft/Garner/Holding/Marshall were,not even the best of the cricket experts. All we get to hear is they were really fast.Somehow you had such accurate technicians who could estimate your bowling speed upto two places of decimal.Truly a case of India Shining!!:biggrin::biggrin:

Well my parents aspirations for me to become engineer and concentrate towards my career was one of the primary reasons secondary being to settle in my career and to have a stable job due to all these I had to quit my practice in cricket but still passion to become a bowler like Shane Bond still lives in my heart

well there are other B-schools also that people come out successfully and reach up to top levels in corporate world thought it may take some time to reach that level but its not impossible,with efforts one can reach that level.

According to you which posts on PG deserve a groan...? what all parameters do u look at before groaning at a particular post...?


To be honest actually this groan parameter should be replaced with some measuring scale like improvement factor which will create a report to the profile in replacing the negative attributes with positive attributes.everybody in PG including myself groan at each other just for having satisfaction to have sense of feeling that we did correct in proving others wrong but this more or less comes out when most of the times when one's ego is at stake to in self -defense people do it.
In short I think Groan should be replaced with Improvement Factor which will help people in PG to behave in more matured and reasonable manner

After having considerable experience say for a decade would like to go for a consultancy.also I would like to gain experience from finance savvy guys along with various since knowing about finance has always been my hobby

How will you utilize your MBA education for welfare of society and yourself?
Initially in few years I would like to give coaching to students in Maths preparing for IIT and also to students who are preparing for Cat XAt and various management entrance exams.along with that I would be teaching one main subject of MBA whichever course and career students want to puruse so that they would not have any problem in understanding concepts while they study at college.

well said actually on professional front I keep sentences short and simple while this is very much required among colleagues . as well as other people who contact me for official purpose .well in PG somehow feel more or less like home where I want to express my ideas in bit more free manner or rather in non formal manner. But as you have said that the text should be presented in such a way that the reader has comprehended of the passage well and understands what message I want to convey .Regarding this I would try to change but would like to keep it informal way.

after I completed my engineering when iwas at job I came to know about MBA through my seniors thus started another journey of quest of Gold and the next day I purchased oxford dictionary at the same time somebody suggested about PG being a great resource for MBA preparation. Just a thought came that I would create PG ID whatever word I pick up randomly from dictionary and picked up one thus id Cognizant came into existence.

2. Pls share some diet tips so that puys here can be fit & healthy like u lest they get a chance to bowl at dhoni like u got?
morning: bananas(3-4 atleast) litre milk with cornflakes.
Midday before lunch: any fruit preferably apple + almonds + fruit juice
Lunch: vegetable soup + carbohydrates(roti or brown bread)
Evening : fruit juice 2 glasses
Dinner: square meal(along with 100 gms proteins + green salad)

PG itself being immense resource of MBA forums I believe, if anybody sincerely goes through these forums and just register for mocks they can still score 99.xx percentile in mocks as well as on D-day.
The day it starts a coaching institute it will easily surpass CL IMS TIME etc such is popularity of this site.

well first I would like to take up MBA as a job in career have a good experience then would like to be entrepreneur after having experience for certain period.

Well after completion of my engineering I joined NGO reason iwas always interested in social activities so wanted to gain experience at professional level.after that I cleared DRDO and was appointed as Space research scientist reason idid my engineering in electronics so wanted to go ahead in my career in that direction after having considerable experience quite often I had interaction with HR fellows in that organization due to work related issues so fascinated me to know more about HR .thus interest was created in HR now I started applying for consultancies and got a job profile of management trainee on HR profile in a consultancy where iwas asked you are an engineer and you dont have MBA in HR still you want to go for HR how should we trust an engineer can work well in HR I repliedSir even if you take MBA guys you still give training to them instead on day 1 itself they should have been assigned tasks because they completed MBA degree so that means their academic knowledge is not meeting the industrial standard so training is the interface if thats the case then if a simple graduate or an engineer can do the same work in more effective way then whats wrong in doing that

Actually even if a person doesnt pursue MBA degree then also he gains managerial skills atleast by virtue of his experience over a brief period which he learns at his workplace.I think in school level itself small mini assignments should be given which are based on practical situations where skills of MBA be it finance, marketing, HR etc be used. In other words training should be imparted in such a way that it will help the students to give a definite shape to their career and by the time they reach an age of graduate they would become socially more responsible not only for themselves but for society as well.
Before joining the course as by that time almost many would be aware of what course they want to pursue in MBA they should be given something like mini project which would be very well custom based as per their understanding level so that when they pursue the course they enjoy the concepts while they are studying in much more better and effective way.
I think in schools colleges entrepreneurship related activities should be encouraged which would pave the path for developing management skills in more systematic effective and faster way. As for me given a chance I would start a coaching institute which would not only teach how to crack MBA entrance exams but would also teach atleast one main subject from each area of management so that students would actually enjoy studying and would get easily accustomed to the environment of the B-school.

I belong to a defence background except my dad who is an Govt employee my grandfather and few uncles were in Indian army and Indian Air Forceso discipline was given utmost importance in our family. Especially during 1971 was my Grandpa who leaded a battalion in Rajputana rifles used to tell how a soldier tirelessly fought all along the day and night when the country men sleep peacefully at night.i mingle with everyone easily and I am an open book anybody can read me easily.i am known for witty humorous statements .as for now I am targeting to get into a good B-school so that ican do justice not only for myself but for the country also.


2) Tell us something about your childhood. (Max 10 line)
Regarding my childhood nothing special except a few achievements like I was in top 50 in maths Olympiad, got an opportunity to play cricket inter-state level and few awards for having good oratory skills.Rest like every child I had a group of friends having fun,playing pranks and trying to live life like a king size was our groups objective.

3) Why don't you go for Social Work prog. instead of running after IIM OR XLRI?
Well ithink both are inter related if you want to do something for society for one should have stability in career and life.runnng behind IIMs/XL is everybodys dream in spite of whether one gets or not but the dream follows till the efforts are put to the best of possible cause after one gets settled in career then can go for doing something unique not only for himself but also for society.same holds true for me!!!

First of all Thanks to Pallavi ma'am for starting thread and thanks to all Puys/Pagals for mentioning my name.well i would want all of you get into IIMs XLRI and do something unique that will make your family relatives friends society country feel proud of you!! Like Annaji we all should look forward for a corruption less poverty less illiteracy less and prosperous country.wish all stalwarts of IIMs/XLRI IITs doctors lawyers CAs all the people of highest accolades being MPs of the country who have great vision to take the country forward!!!!
also i personally feel there are many stalwarts who deserve greater position than myself their contribution towards PG has been awesome who have helped guided others to crack CAT XAT and other entrace exams!!! but again thanks anyways for support of all of you!!!
