Well I suppose everything in net everything is virtual but ithink at least people who come in PG life are real thus making PG as good as real life.its only matter of perception that matters the most!!!

According to you which posts on PG deserve a groan...? what all parameters do u look at before groaning at a particular post...?


To be honest actually this groan parameter should be replaced with some measuring scale like improvement factor which will create a report to the profile in replacing the negative attributes with positive attributes.everybody in PG including myself groan at each other just for having satisfaction to have sense of feeling that we did correct in proving others wrong but this more or less comes out when most of the times when one's ego is at stake to in self -defense people do it.
In short I think Groan should be replaced with Improvement Factor which will help people in PG to behave in more matured and reasonable manner

First and foremost thing is to have a stable job then next thing is to inherit the experience of the company that seeks from me to learn. After having considerable experience say for a decade would like to go for a consultancy.also I would like to gain experience from finance savvy guys along with various since knowing about finance has always been my hobby

How will you utilize your MBA education for welfare of society and yourself?
Initially in few years I would like to give coaching to students in Maths preparing for IIT and also to students who are preparing for Cat XAt and various management entrance exams.along with that I would be teaching one main subject of MBA whichever course and career students want to puruse so that they would not have any problem in understanding concepts while they study at college.

I second this - Cognizant - please tell us why do you not break up your sentences into smaller sentences instead choosing to run them all into each other and so making them so long that it's difficult to read since you start with one point and also include 2-3 more before coming to end adding even greater confusion to my understanding of an already complicated point of what you are trying to say and has now made the statement both ineffective in explaining your point as well as confusing.

well said actually on professional front I keep sentences short and simple while this is very much required among colleagues . as well as other people who contact me for official purpose .well in PG somehow feel more or less like home where I want to express my ideas in bit more free manner or rather in non formal manner. But as you have said that the text should be presented in such a way that the reader has comprehended of the passage well and understands what message I want to convey .Regarding this I would try to change but would like to keep it informal way.

1. Whats the story behind this username sirjee?
after I completed my engineering when iwas at job I came to know about MBA through my seniors thus started another journey of quest of Gold and the next day I purchased oxford dictionary at the same time somebody suggested about PG being a great resource for MBA preparation. Just a thought came that I would create PG ID whatever word I pick up randomly from dictionary and picked up one thus id Cognizant came into existence.

2. Pls share some diet tips so that puys here can be fit & healthy like u lest they get a chance to bowl at dhoni like u got?
morning: bananas(3-4 atleast) litre milk with cornflakes.
Midday before lunch: any fruit preferably apple + almonds + fruit juice
Lunch: vegetable soup + carbohydrates(roti or brown bread)
Evening : fruit juice 2 glasses
Dinner: square meal(along with 100 gms proteins + green salad)

4. Pls share your views about PG?
PG itself being immense resource of MBA forums I believe, if anybody sincerely goes through these forums and just register for mocks they can still score 99.xx percentile in mocks as well as on D-day.
The day it starts a coaching institute it will easily surpass CL IMS TIME etc such is popularity of this site.


5. Whats your take on MBA in Job or MBA as an Entrepreneur?
well first I would like to take up MBA as a job in career have a good experience then would like to be entrepreneur after having experience for certain period.

Well after completion of my engineering I joined NGO reason iwas always interested in social activities so wanted to gain experience at professional level.after that I cleared DRDO and was appointed as Space research scientist reason idid my engineering in electronics so wanted to go ahead in my career in that direction after having considerable experience quite often I had interaction with HR fellows in that organization due to work related issues so fascinated me to know more about HR .thus interest was created in HR now I started applying for consultancies and got a job profile of management trainee on HR profile in a consultancy where iwas asked you are an engineer and you dont have MBA in HR still you want to go for HR how should we trust an engineer can work well in HR I repliedSir even if you take MBA guys you still give training to them instead on day 1 itself they should have been assigned tasks because they completed MBA degree so that means their academic knowledge is not meeting the industrial standard so training is the interface if thats the case then if a simple graduate or an engineer can do the same work in more effective way then whats wrong in doing that

Actually even if a person doesnt pursue MBA degree then also he gains managerial skills atleast by virtue of his experience over a brief period which he learns at his workplace.I think in school level itself small mini assignments should be given which are based on practical situations where skills of MBA be it finance, marketing, HR etc be used. In other words training should be imparted in such a way that it will help the students to give a definite shape to their career and by the time they reach an age of graduate they would become socially more responsible not only for themselves but for society as well.
Before joining the course as by that time almost many would be aware of what course they want to pursue in MBA they should be given something like mini project which would be very well custom based as per their understanding level so that when they pursue the course they enjoy the concepts while they are studying in much more better and effective way.
I think in schools colleges entrepreneurship related activities should be encouraged which would pave the path for developing management skills in more systematic effective and faster way. As for me given a chance I would start a coaching institute which would not only teach how to crack MBA entrance exams but would also teach atleast one main subject from each area of management so that students would actually enjoy studying and would get easily accustomed to the environment of the B-school.

I belong to a defence background except my dad who is an Govt employee my grandfather and few uncles were in Indian army and Indian Air Forceso discipline was given utmost importance in our family. Especially during 1971 was my Grandpa who leaded a battalion in Rajputana rifles used to tell how a soldier tirelessly fought all along the day and night when the country men sleep peacefully at night.i mingle with everyone easily and I am an open book anybody can read me easily.i am known for witty humorous statements .as for now I am targeting to get into a good B-school so that ican do justice not only for myself but for the country also.


2) Tell us something about your childhood. (Max 10 line)
Regarding my childhood nothing special except a few achievements like I was in top 50 in maths Olympiad, got an opportunity to play cricket inter-state level and few awards for having good oratory skills.Rest like every child I had a group of friends having fun,playing pranks and trying to live life like a king size was our groups objective.

3) Why don't you go for Social Work prog. instead of running after IIM OR XLRI?
Well ithink both are inter related if you want to do something for society for one should have stability in career and life.runnng behind IIMs/XL is everybodys dream in spite of whether one gets or not but the dream follows till the efforts are put to the best of possible cause after one gets settled in career then can go for doing something unique not only for himself but also for society.same holds true for me!!!
