even during beta testing users had said to provide more space (width) for posts as it was in old pg version, but it has not been done. and less space for posts is quite unconvenient.
and every second post is coming in little bit dark background, that is also inconvenient.
and multiquote system is working for posts of one page only. If I try to quote one post of reply 1-20 and another post of reply 21-40 using multiquote option,I can't do that in this version.So I will have to make two posts in that case in this version of pg.
leave matter of thank,groan options or smilies but atleast we need more space for posts and multiquote system like that of old version to discuss questions and reply of others posts.
if original purpose of this forum is not fulfilled properly which is that first of all this forum is for educational purpose, rest things come second like giving it look like fb or having follow option like twitter then what can be it's use for students like me who are here for discussing questions, because if we had to do it on some forum looking like fb, then fb itself could be better place for such discussion but most of us don't find fb groups convenient and user friendly when it comes to discuss questions.
That's why we are here as pg had more space for posts, multiquote system and we could see who is online on thread and if needed could direct our question to that online user of thread in our post requesting him to answer or could send pm if needed with expectation that we will get reply same time as user is online.
may be 1-2 of these things would be improved in some weeks, but my question is:
didn't old pg version seem good to you Administrators, mods, and all those who are appreciating new version in its current state!!!
In old version there were not such issues, nor such complaints.
I feel new version could be launched after some improvements like more space, improved multiquote system, their was no need to launch it in hurry as older version was also doing good rather better than the newer version in its current state with many technical issues to be solved.
I am not against the new version, it has got some positive aspects too but I am against the fact that despite having big issues like less space for posts as pointed out by users even during beta testing, multiquote system not being as good as it was in old version, new version is launched probably in hurry.
we users are complaining as we are here not just for fun and following each other's posts like twitter or for liking each other's post in fb way but first of all we are here for discussing our exam related questions and for that we need more space for posts, multiquote system same like that of old version.
if more space and improved multiquote system can't be provided in new version for some weeks than what was bad if new version could be launched after some weeks when this issue could have been solve by running new version in testing mode only till then and old version would have worked properly till then as it was working till yesterday noon !!!!!
and poll system is still not there in new version. This has to be fixed yet.

This is pending some internal discussion. Not in the short-run though. I'm seeing if we can find a way to integrate any external poll site options. Any sites you guys use that allow you to do easy polls?
cgl thread will need a poll just after 13/15 july when keys ae uploaded on ssc website and puys would vote how much marks they are getting so we could get a rough overview of expected cutoffs as actual result will come just 2-3 weeks beofe tier-2.
ssc cgl tier-2 is just 2 months away, cat is also 2 month and 2-3 weeks away, some other exams are not even 2 months away and I think first priority of any educational website should be serving basic purpose of being educational forum/portal, only then come other things like flaunting of having forum with functions/looks of twitter, fb.
