Since all u puys here are from Mumbai & must be having a great bit of idea about the city, can u plz tell me which is the best coaching institute in Mumbai? My company will, in all probability, give joining in Mumbai, Powai area & I wanted to know which coaching is the best there?

Zzeke @Bottomline21 - I was always interested in Marketing and a bit of HR...To be honest,I cannot sit another year for marketing when CAT has become so unpredictable.With my profile,I can get marketing at max in IIM C and L.But to get 99.8+ in ONLINE AVATAR of CAT,you need more than hard work and perseverance.Either you need to be really gifted or you need to be lucky(+Hardwork) on that day;I am blessed with neither...Also,XLRI HR is really difficult to let go.Had it been,TISS,I could have considered it.but not XL HR;It is globally renowned...My opinion.

I am not trying to give you any gyaan,but I really want you guys in.I was so so desperate to make it to XL that I prepared like a maniac for its interviews.

Zzeke @next_big_thing -Hi,the purpose was to give an IDEA of how can one go about preparing for the interview irrespective of your past.So I tried to focus on the HOW aspect,and information related to it.The interview was attached just to show how it can immensely benefit if you prepare really hard...Honestly speaking,I was tired after writing for 4-5 hours,so ended it.I wrote it to help people like me,and not to boast anything.

visionIIM-ACL You trust the placement report ?? With no offences meant, i am not trying to tell which is better JB or IIFT.. but i just want to tell you that dont think that these placements figures are correct. ET is not auditing the figures, it just prints what college's placecom / administration sends. And, how true are those figures sent, we know since 2-3 years now!

ANS13 Heard a lot about incorrect figures printed about JB;s placement figures..I dnt understand y JBIMS is so obsessed in inflating placement figures even if it has a good brand name and is such an old and respected college in Mumbai ....integrity seems to be the lowest priority

Omkarp That is assuming they are inflated. These numbers are just that, numbers of only academic interest, not an indication of an institute's quality.

The point is that the institute does not get the package, the student does. So what package one gets depends on the student, not on the institute he is in.

Ofcourse, we are making an assumption that we are talking only about the top 15.
